3D Imaging

Precision Digital Imaging

Radiographs allow us to see things we cannot see with own eyes helping us to detect cavities in between your teeth, determine bone level and analyze the health of your bone. Dr. Hecht chooses very carefully when radiographs are taken, applying many guidelines. Exams of the roots and nerves of teeth are possible with digital imaging, which also allows Dr. Hecht and our staff to diagnose lesions such as cysts or tumors, and to assess damage when trauma occurs.

Invaluable Aides for Better Treatment

Dental radiographs are invaluable aides in diagnosing, treating and maintaining dental health. Exposure time for dental radiographs is extremely minimal. Dr. Hecht utilizes digital imaging technologies within the office. With digital imaging, exposure time is about 50 percent less than traditional radiographs. Digital imaging can also help us retrieve valuable diagnostic information, which improves our ability to find cavities.

Digital imaging also allows for the storage of patient images and enables us to quickly and easily transfer them to specialists or insurance companies. Digital imaging offers more precision since we view the image on a computer monitor instead of holding a 35-mm film up to the light. Digital imaging results in 1/6th the radiation exposure for patients.
